Houston County has a historical past of huge lottery winners.

  • In 2015, Ben Pendergrass received $2 million when his lottery ticket matched all but the Powerball variety. The matches equaled a $1 million prize, but because he selected Powerball’s “Power Play” choice, his winnings doubled.
  • In 2017, a $2 million Powerball ticket was offered at Unexpected Services on West Main Road.
